Wall Cabinets Are Up!

Voila – the wall cabinets are up. There is 1 more which will go over the fridge (far right hand side), but I think we will need a wider cabinet so we’re waiting on that one. The 2 cabinets with no doors will have the glass doors which will be hung when construction is finished.
The cabinets are staggered between 42" high and 36"; we weren’t sure how it would look, but we really like it. The 42" cabinets are very tall and a bit imposing, and the lower cabinets really help balance them out.
Next I think the hood is going in, then the lower cabinets. Then the gas needs to be done, the plumbing and the appliances put in place. THEN we can template for the counters, and wait 4 weeks for them to show up. So, we still have a LONG way to go until the kitchen is usable, but having the wall cabinets in is a BIG step towards home.
Thank you again to Batman who was willing to give a day’s labor in exchange for dinner out. On his birthday none the less!
